Beautiful Dresses from the Red Carpet at SAG

It’s been a busy start to a great new year. So my post on this topic is a lil late. But nonetheless, these gowns are timeless so get inspired by these beautiful cuts and colours for your next tailored cocktail dresses and evening gowns. My favourite picks from the 14th Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Favourite colour – Not many ladies can carry off yellow but Kate Beckinsale and Vanessa Williams did it with flair.

Best sexy backs in two opposite cuts and colours.

Favourite strapless gowns – Amanda Bynes with a jeweled sequin bodice with flowy soft layers at the bottom and Andrea Bowen in a ruffled persian blue Roberto Cavalli. Their hairstyles made them look a lil too matured for their age though.

Marcia Cross (age 46) and Michelle Pfeiffer (age 50) officially proved that they don’t age! Both look so flawlessly elegant. Michelle Pfeiffer looked so understated yet classy in washed out brown and crocodile clutch, but my favourite for the night is Marcia Cross!

In bright turquoise Monique Lhuillier. Don’t know how to pronounce the last name but I’m a great fan of Monique La hui lier? le hu lieere? She’s a Filipino wedding dress designer based in US, well known as the IT designer to celebrity brides. Shall blog about this on a separate post.

Expression of the Day

I feel more alive when I’m writing than I do at any other time —except when I’m making love. Two things when you forget time, when nothing exists except the moment—the moment of writing, the moment of love. That perfect concentration is bliss. - May Sarton -
